Since his rescue from a puppy mill, little 9-lb. Harry has been delightedly learning about the good things in life. Having spent most, if not all, of his 13-year life in a small
cage, Harry is just now experiencing things like soft grass and the loving touch of human hands, and he has quickly decided that snuggling and love are two things he
can't have enough of! He might hesitate a bit when hands reach for him, but when he knows he is going to his comfy place on the sofa or a lap, he is so happy
that he snuffles and snorts and cuddles right up for a snooze. Everyone who meets Harry falls in love with him and he will curl up with anyone who will
approach him gently to scratch his neck or belly. If you are too busy for snuggling, he may follow you around, especially if you might be stopping by the kitchen. Poor
dental care from his years in the puppy mill resulted in the loss of his lower jaw, but this doesn't stop Harry from gobbling up his meals or taking treats. If things get too
loud he might retreat to his crate, but he'll soon come out again, too curious to resist peeking to see what's going on. Harry shows no interest in the cat in his foster home and gets along beautifully with all of the dogs. Because Harry had never been trained
to outdoor pottying and because grass remains a bit of an enigma, he has now been trained to puppy pads, which he is quite good at using, and soon he will transition
to using the yard. He is still unsure about that thing called a leash, so a fenced yard would be best for him. This wonderfully sweet little guy is coming along day by day,
interested and bemused in all the newness, and he is ever so ready for a forever family to help him discover what a dog's life is really meant to be.
